Go Beyond
If all we do is serve within the church we fail to be the church. We must go beyond! 
This happens as we engage in service projects, mission trips, join others in justice and peace issues, display random acts of kindness and conduct outreach events.
We have three ways you engage and go beyound the walls of a church.
Our Outreach Team is responsible for getting the word out about Journey. They engage in servant evangelism like totally free car washes, business blasts, and giving away free sodas. They lead us out to hang flyers about church and help plan our booths at Founder's Day and Salsa Fest.
Our Missions Team is responsible for getting us out and getting our hands dirty through serving meals at homeless shelters, helping the poor, collecting food for the food pantry, fixing homes, cleaning up our communities and taking mission trips.
Our Justice Team is responsible for raising our awareness of pressing issues like human rights violations, immigration issues, and making sure we are inclusive of all people. They are our moral conscience guiding us to change the world in ways that bring peace and justice to our earth.
