Spiritual growth is all about connecting with God and learning how, as followers of the Way, we can be more like Jesus. Simply put, spiritual maturity is being like Jesus. Romans 8:29 says, "God knew what God was doing from the very beginning. God decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love God along the same lines as the life of God's Son.... We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him. "We were created to be like Jesus but someplace along the way we took a detour and headed down another path. At Journey Church we realize that no one is perfect. We all make some huge mistakes in life. These blunders, however, don't separate us from God's love. We are forgiven people! These blunders can, however, have real life consequences. Our blunders affect our families, our friends, the people we work with, our neighbors, and ourselves. Sometimes in very painful ways. At Journey Church you will find people just like you. People who are hurting, struggling, searching, trying to lead a better life.
We can help you experience the better life. We're not talking just about eternity. We're talking here and now - in this life. It can happen for you! You can experience a better life as you grow to become more like Jesus.
